I narrate CLEAN READS ONLY. No exceptions.
~ I do not narrate erotica or high-level heat romance.
~ I do not read horror of extreme graphic nature, but I love a good thriller or suspense novel.
My current rate starts at $300 per finished hour.
~ MOST audiobooks fall into this range.
~ Higher rates apply if there is extensive research required or if there is a large cast that will require additional recording sessions.
I offer a limited number of ACX or Findaway Shared Royalty PLUS Contracts each year. My Shared Royalty Plus rate is 50% of my PFH rate.
~ To be considered for a Shared Royalty Plus Contract, an author and/or book must have a strong sales track record.

My background:
I grew up traveling the world and am proficient in the art of language. As a musician, I hear the melody and rhythm of the spoken word in every voice, making me adept at picking up and performing various accents. I'm a public speaker and an author, so I have an excellent grasp of the English language, sentence structure, form, and prose within the context of story. I write and read primarily fiction, but I enjoy narrating both fiction and nonfiction. I am able to voice a variety of character ages and genders, and in several generalized accents. I especially appreciate working with authors on series, where prominent characters continue through multiple books.
My voice has been called engaging, soothing, lyrical, and dramatic. It lends itself well to Contemporary Commercial Fiction, especially in Women's Fiction, Cozy Mystery, Sweet Romance, and Young Adult or Coming of Age genres.
My PFH rate explanation:
It takes 5-7 hours to produce ONE finished audiobook hour, making my average hourly rate about $48 per hour.
~ Approximately 9200 words equals one audiobook hour
~ Approximately 2 hours to record each audiobook hour
~ Approximately 3-4 hours to edit and master each audiobook hour
~ Depending on the length of the audibook, there is an additional time needed to make your audiobook retail ready (post-production edits, track conversion to correct formats, etc.).
~ An 8-hour audiobook will typically take me 40-50 hours to produce and will cost you around $2400.
