The Gustafson Girls Series

When Paul and Simone Gustafson are killed by a drunk driver, the lives of their daughters change irrevocably. It’s the G-FOURce—the Gustafson Four Sisters Club—that binds them together when their differences would tear them apart. All grown up now, Juliette has become the quintessential doormat, Renata, the self-appointed matriarchal figure. Phoebe is, at least according to Renata, borderline narcissistic, and Gia is on the verge of a major identity crisis.

Then there’s Angela Clinton, the senior class darling who drove her cherry black 1970 el Camino into the side of their parents’ car on the night of Juliette’s high school graduation. Angela’s prison sentence is winding down; soon she’ll be eligible for parole and moving back to town. Will the G-FOURce be strong enough to hold them together as they step into the eye of the storm that’s been brewing for the last fifteen years? Will they finally be able to let go of the past and embrace the future, no matter what it holds?

Juliette Gustafson is heart-broken after waiting nearly ten years for a proposal from her boyfriend. Determined she isn’t “getting over Mike” quickly enough, her three sisters devise The Monday ManDates; an intervention plan requiring Juliette to endure what turns out to be a series of remarkably disastrous blind dates: TheraPaul, Frisky Frank, TAZ the rock star, and the stoic Tim Larsen, among others. Then there’s Victor Jarrett, the police officer with an affinity for pulling Juliette over when she’s at her very worst. But no one is more surprised than Juliette when she meets the one man who can right the wrongs in her past and change her future, if she will only let herself fall in love with him.

Renata Gustafson Dixon’s life is going exactly the way she wants it. Almost. A wonderful husband, four boys who fill her life with mostly joy and sometimes a little heartache now and then. She and John are giving things one last shot for the icing on the cake; a little girl with copper curls like John’s and cupid bow lips like Renata’s. Then Juliette, the oldest of the four Gustafson sisters, opens up a can of worms labeled ‘Angela Clinton’ at a G-FOURce meeting. Things are said and accusations made that can’t be taken back, sending Renata’s carefully-constructed world spinning out beyond her control. Renata must learn to set aside her own will and lean on the strength of those who love her before she loses all hope for the future.

Phoebe Gustafson has been running wild her whole life. A gifted artist, she portrays people and places the way she wishes they were, not the way she really sees them. Her jaded perspective is born out of disillusionment, betrayal, and loss, and of memories too painful to dwell on. Rather than face the past, Phoebe charges full throttle into the future, never investing in anything or anyone for longer than it takes to finish a job.

Trevor Zander, a gifted musician, is bone-weary of always being on the go. He dreams of putting down roots and staying in one place longer than the time it takes to plan the next tour. While on a much-needed break, he happens upon a damsel not in distress, but he can’t resist helping her anyway. He’s entranced by the view of the world through Phoebe Gustafson’s eyes, and commissions her to help him redefine his image and brand.

When a family emergency and the charming, unconventional Jesus-Freak, Trevor Zander, converge on her life at the same time, will Phoebe find the courage to remove her blinders and discolored filters so she can truly see life, and love—and herself—the way they really are?

Thank you so much for reviewing, too. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that for me.

I really enjoy your books and I was wondering when Phoebe’s story comes out?

Thanks for stopping by! As you might have surmised, plans for this series have been in a bit of a mash-up and publication dates have had to be reworked in order to accommodate some other changes in my schedule. Right in the middle of this series, I ended up signing a contract for a different series, so The Gustafson Girls releases, much to my chagrin, had to be shuffled to make room for The Fallout Series.

I am currently working like a fiend to get Phoebe’s book released around Thanksgiving, so do be watching for it. If you follow my author profile on Amazon, they’ll notify you as soon as it goes live, but I’ll also announce it here on my blog, as well as in my newsletter! If you are a subscriber there, I always have lots of fun giveaways around book releases, so don’t miss out!

Thanks again for stopping by and asking about these books – this series is extra special to me and I’m glad they are stories others find endearing.

      Bless you,

Thank you for stopping by today! I’m so glad you’re enjoying these girls’ stories. This series is extra special to me, too, and I love hearing from readers who connect to it as well. I’m working hard to get Phoebe’s story out next month, at least in digital format, so be watching for that – I’ll announce it on my blog and in my newsletter as soon as it goes live!

I have enjoyed the G- Force sisters and keep checking my kindle for the new release of” Phoebe and the rock of ages “. I have three grown daughters and while they were growing up my biggest fear was they might murder each other in the bathroom! I didn’t think Washington state was big enough for them to live yet two are neighbors with the third planning to build next to them. Kellie is. The rock, Angie the delegater and then my sweet Carole Ann. All have embraced a faith based life style which does console my mother’s heart. I love your books about the sisters and am entertained for hours reading about God working out sister drama because He does. Thanks for your writing and can you put my name in the drawing? Jude.

Judy – Thank you for sharing! I have a sister who is only 8 months younger than I am (I’m adopted and she was a surprise because my folks weren’t “supposed” to be able to have children), and we grew up sharing–and fighting over–everything. We live across the world from each other now (she’s in Europe and I”m in California), but I’d move next door to her in a heartbeat if our circumstances would allow. I know my mom would echo your sentiments exactly!

Thanks for taking the time to write – I appreciate knowing there are folks waiting for these stories. It really does motivate me to stay the course!

      Bless you!

I enjoyed the first two books and am looking forward to the next two. Any idea when they will be released?

Glad you stopped by! I’m frantically working to get the next two books out in the series this spring – there have been a few unforeseen hangups with Book 3, but things are finally getting back on track. I’m expecting Phoebe and the Rock of Ages to release early to mid-February, and Book 4, Gia and the Blast from the Past to release in May! I’ll post updates on both books via my newsletter and on my blog, so be watching for those.

Thanks for taking the time to let me know you’re watching for the next book – comments like these not only encourage me greatly, but also keep me motivated to stay on track.

      Bless you,
