Lovely! What a terrific cover!
The titles are nice, though here in New Mexico I would take issue with “January Breezes”. Seeing a Jack Russell flipped over onto his back by the wind when he lifted his leg…Rufus would not call that a breeze!
Ha! Yes, Andrew. We get the Santa Ana winds in the fall over here – I’m sure that’s more like what you get in January. Poor wee pup – just out doing his business. Can’t a man have a moment??????
Ohhh, very nice. Very Mona Lisa-y. Is she smiling? Is she hiding something? Is she just keeping it together?
Very welcoming *and* mysterious….
Thank you, Jennifer! I love your observations! I’m so glad you’re wondering. She does have an enigmatic air about her, doesn’t she?
That is a gorgeous cover, Becky! It represents the story well. Congratulations!
Tamara – thank you! This is such an angsty part of the process – who knew? I mean, what if she reminds someone else of their wicked stepfather or the neighbor’s yapping dog? Ha!
I do have to go back and change the color of her eyes to green now – my blurb says they’re violet. Sigh. Oh well. We can’t have everything, can we?
Blessings,
Becky
You have to change the eye color? Does that mean you created the cover on your own? If so, you certainly don’t need to pay a graphic artist to do it. As I said, it’s gorgeous.
Yes – and THANK YOU! I’m finding all kinds of ways to do stuff on my own for mere pennies, and I’m planning a whole series of posts about the process, once I get through all the craziness of it. You KNOW what I’m talking about. But I think people should know that they can do stuff on their own if they have a mind to do so. It’s hard work, but it CAN be done!
And my word for this year is “STILL” – right? I’m trying. I really am. But that’s much easier said, than done.
Amazed. Simply amazed.
Absolutely beautiful! Looking forward to the first volume.
Sheenah – You are one of my biggest inspirations. Watching you go through this process over and over again has really motivated and encouraged me to go for it. Thank you – your words mean a lot to me.
That is so lovely!
Thank you, Joanne! I love the red curls – I wish I could pull it off, but my hair doesn’t even hold a perm! Straight. That’s it. But if I could… Maybe this is why I write? I can live vicariously through so many people!
Blessings,
Becky
It’s beautiful, Becky!! How exciting!
Thank you, Amanda! I AM excited…and a little scaredy-pants, too. This means I have to follow through with my plans!
BTW, I love your new site. It’s so soothing and welcoming, just like a cottage should be. And I have a certain affinity towards cottages…

Thanks, Glenda. So appreciate your words of encouragement to me.
